Castle Pines North Metro District (CPNMD) provides around 12,000 residents and 4,000 commercial users in Castle Pines, CO, with water and wastewater services. Sigler was hired to serve as CPNMD's communications manager, working directly with the District Manager to oversee all communications, including direct customer and project outreach, advertising, social media, crisis communications and graphics/other materials.
CPNMD's current leadership inherited an older system that needed a lot of upgrades to ensure reliable service and enable future partnerships with other local water providers. Sigler has helped them communicate about planned projects and project construction impacts as they upgrade their primary water treatment plant and entire sewer lift station system. We used visual strategies — including graphics, videos and interactive maps — to communicate about the project locations, impacts and rate increases to fund them. Sigler is also helping the team better prepare for crisis communications, when needed, and conducting proactive community and news outreach on conservation, district programs and regional planning efforts.
Ongoing feedback and regular surveys (annual and every three years) continue to inform our approach and reflect an appreciation for the District's improved, regular community outreach and engagement.
